Research Assistant Positions Available for Graduate Students in Fall 2009 or Spring 2010

I welcome self-motivated students or visiting scholars to join our group for research on Human Computer Interaction and Software Engineering.

PhD research assistant positions (stipend + full tuition waiver) are available for self-motivated Ph.D. students. The positions may start in either Fall 2009 or Spring 2010.

Qualifications:

1. Preference will be given to those who have strong programming experiences.

2. Preference will be given to those holding an M.S. degree in Computer Science.

3. Good GPA in computer science or related fields.

4. International students need a TOFEL or IELTS score to be accepted to the graduate school.

Minimum TOEFL score: 550 (Paper based); 213 (Computer based); and 79 (Internet based).

Minimum score IELTS: 6

Note: GRE is not required but recommended.

Prospective Ph.D. students are encouraged to read at least one of my papers and indicate in the email (1) which paper they have read and what the paper is about; (2) what they would like to do for their Ph.D. research; and (3) how their proposed research relates to my current research. Students with a good research plan will be given higher preference.
